Our People

In order to be able to provide such a wide range of services, Toronto Senior Care employs an array of experienced caregivers, personal support workers and other healthcare providers. Our staff consists of both, male and female care providers, coming from a variety of cultural backgrounds. They are also trained to have a variety of skills for supporting seniors, so they can add value to your life where you need it.

All our staff are able to legally work in Canada and have been thoroughly vetted for the skills and experience they offer. Every staff member has a criminal background checked performed, must have passed written tests and has had at least 5 years of successful recent prior employment references checked.

Care Managers

Care Managers at Toronto Senior Care are very highly trained people with significant professional experience. Their skills in combination with Toronto Senior Care’s expertise in providing care for seniors has proven to be very effective in the provision of the highest quality and most reliable senior care.

Toronto Senior Care has an intensive training program for its Care Managers as well. The training includes not only Toronto Senior Care’s policies and procedures, but federal and local laws regarding in-home senior care. As specialists in the field, they are continually updated on the current standards and procedures. This makes them a very important resource for our clients and the Personal Assistants reporting to them.

Personal Assistants

Personal Assistants are the caregivers providing Companion Care support services, which includes companionship, meal preparation and serving, light housekeeping, picking up prescriptions, medication reminders, reading, monitoring food expiration, shopping, errands and much more. All Personal Assistants have First Aid and CPR certifications along with 3 to 5 years of directs senior care experience.

Personal Support Workers

Personal Support Workers are able to provide the same services as the Personal Assistants, but they are also qualified to provide personal senior care support services. The skills enabling them to provide such comprehensive support are the result of classroom instruction and weeks of hands on practice in senior care facility. Additionally, they also offer at least 5 years of senior support experience. Often times their experience extends well beyond 5 years.

Personal Senior Care services include assistance with clothing selection, dressing, personal hygiene, bathing, application of physiotherapy program, bed bound care, application of lotions and much more. They are also qualified to provide Specialty Senior Care for those who are bed bound, suffer from Alzheimer’s, dementia, etc.

Registered Practical Nurses

RPN’s are healthcare professionals able to provide nursing training as well as improving patient experience. RPNs provide advanced senior care services that could include working with Practitioner and Dietician to ensure nutritional needs of residents are met, administer medications, maintain nursing plan, assist in maintaining physical and psycho-social environment for senior, provide personal senior care as required, perform specialized procedures such as blood glucose, suctioning, collection of a broad spectrum of specimens, providing colostomy care and diabetic nail care and much more.

All our staff offer:

  • Minimum of 5 years direct senior care experience, often much more
